Do the staff understand English

Bumrungrad International has over 600 physicians in virtually all specialties and subspecialties of medicine. All physicians are Thai, have passed their board examinations in Thailand, are licensed by the Thai Medical Council and have been screened by the hospital’s internal medical review panel. Many of our physicians are internationally trained or board certified. Doctors are usually fluent in English

There are over 800 registered nurses working at Bumrungrad International along with several hundred nurse assistants. At all times there is trained staff to take care of you and carry out your physician’s instructions. English language communication is not a problem.

Pain After Surgery

Each patient tolerates pain post-operatively in a different way. Some patients experience pain as an ache, others have greater discomfort. Pain medications are prescribed for post-operative patients, and these aid to minimize the discomfort.

Most facial cosmetic operations have minimal postoperative discomfort. Liposuction is slightly more uncomfortable, and operations that require elevation or tightening of the muscles, such as breast augmentation or abdominoplasty have discomfort equal to that experienced after a cesarean section
